Staying current and ready to deploy
The ReHEAT course is to refresh skills for those going to more challenging, remote or hostile regions. Staff should be placed on the course if their HEAT training was more than 2 years ago and they are likely to go to hostile environments.
Updating training, and keeping staff current and ‘in-date’, means that they can deploy more safely at short notice. The ReHEAT course includes first aid and several scenarios.
On this course your staff will refresh skills they learnt on HEAT training, including:
- Key principles of the Security Management Framework, including situational analysis and actor mapping
- Security strategies
- Personal Preparedness
- Getting prepared for incidents and emergencies
- Dealing with checkpoints, crossfire, landmines and other dangers
- Developing psychological resilience
- Image management and noticing other people’s perceptions
- Managing interpersonal conflict, hostility and aggression
- Kidnap Avoidance, Survival and Response
- First Aid refresher training
